A country retreat with total privacy, peace and tranquility but with easy access to all tourist amenities this is the perfect spot for your relaxing Algarve holiday.
Set in 50 acres of grounds & just 6 km from Lagos or 8 km from Praia da Luz. The gardens are quite spectacular and there are no less than 7 outside dining areas!
There are a couple of mini-markets and restaurants in the village of Portelas, which is 2 km away on the road towards Lagos. The Lagos beaches are the nearest and others are within easy driving distance.
The house is in an elevated position, enjoying a delightful breeze when downtown is sweltering. There are beautiful rural views from all sides with really spectacular mountain views to the North.
The villa has a large oval swimming pool (approximately 8 x 4m). The pool area is surrounded by walled terracing, is very sheltered and there is a gate for safety.
At the front of the house is a covered veranda, extending left and right into open terraces with the original old cobbles, overlooking walled gardens with lawns and flowering shrubs.
On the other side, towards the horse stable (not occupied) is a traditional old bread-oven ready to be used.
The villa has an extremely large lounge/dining room with beamed ceiling, traditional Portuguese tiled floor and log-burning stove with delightful inglenook. It even has a grand piano for the musically inclined!
A door leads to the covered terrace overlooking the gardens with marble table and cane chairs for outside dining.
The furnishings are exceptionally comfortable and tasteful.
