Rebuilt on the site of 2 fishermen's cottages in 2007 this is a hard to find rental property - so book early. 2008 is the Burgau holiday cottage's first season. Roof terrace and balconies will of course be fitted out with everything you'll need for al-fresco dining and sunbathing. It has been tastefully constructed to retain the character of the old Portuguese cottages but to provide a modern holiday home with 21st c facilities. There is a spacious living/dining area with seating for 6, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, modern kitchen with sea views, sky tv, underfloor heating and an amazing roof terrace with village and sea views. With 2 double rooms and a single room ( with bunk beds) it is the perfect family home for the holiday season. But as this western Algarve holiday home retains the traditional characteristics of a cottage it is just as equally suited to one or two couples who want location...but not at a price...and who won't feel they are 'rattling around' in a house that's too large for them. If you are a beach lover then by our estimates you can be on Burgau Beach in about 30 seconds ... is that close enough? Being right in the heart of the village the cottage has no pool but for those who can't do without this facility there is a pool at a nearby complex that is open to all visitors, so you don't need to be without. Our guess is that you'll never be off the beach!
Layout: The door on the right opens into a small bedroom with bunk beds.Next to this bedroom is a full bathroom with a shower over the bath.The remainder of this floor is taken up with the L shaped lounge dining room with a seaview terrace. The lounge is equipped with satellite TV with DVD player plus a C D system.
There are two further bedrooms downstairs and a large shower room. The master bedroom has patio doors that lead out onto a small private terrace. It has a Queen size bed plus a large fully fitted wardrobe. The other double room is smaller with a fully fitted wardrobe in the hallway.
Returning to the entrance floor , there are stairs which lead you up to the roof terrace which is equipped with a barbecue and sink....and of course that amazing view.
A cot / high chair /stair gate are available if required.
Sleeping arrangements:
2 double bedrooms 1 single bedroom with bunk beds - this is a small room and ideal for children. There is a full bathroom bath and shower ) and an additional large bathroom ( with shower ) between the two double rooms.
